How to get here？

Located in the heart of the Reykjanes UNESCO Geopark, Blue Lagoon is just 20 minutes from Keflavík Airport and 50 minutes from Reykjavík.
Take Highway 41 to Highway 43 and follow the signs to Blue Lagoon. Parking is free.

What happens if i don't arrive at the time i've booked？

We cannot guarantee entry for guests who arrive at a different time than their booking. While we aim for versatility, it’s often not possible to accommodate late or delayed arrivals. However, all tickets have a one-hour window of flexibility. For example, a ticket booked for 13:00 means that you can arrive anytime between 13:00 and 14:00.

If you know that your booked time will not work, please contact us as soon as possible. Depending on availability, we may be able to accommodate an alternative time or date.

How deep is the blue lagoon?

The deepest area in the Blue Lagoon is 1.4m/4.7ft. and the shallowest area is less than 0.8m/2.6ft.

Does blue lagoon ever close because of bad weather?

The weather in Iceland is incredibly unpredictable and endlessly changing—particularly in the winter. However, weather closures at Blue Lagoon are extremely rare, having occurred just three times in the past decade. When they do happen, such closures are not because of rain, snow, sleet, hail, or subzero temperatures. Rather, the cause of these shutdowns is sustained, hurricane-force winds.

Do you provide towels, bathrobes or slippers?

Our two types of entry tickets—Comfort and Premium—include the use of a towel. However, the Premium ticket also includes the use of a bathrobe. If you have a Comfort ticket and would like a bathrobe, you can rent them for ISK 1500 each.

Also note that Blue Lagoon shower gel and conditioner are complimentary for all guests and can be found in the shower facilities. There is also Blue Lagoon moisturizer in the drying area.
